Burning Tar Barrels at Ottery St Mary, 5th of November starts 4.30pm. This is a free event that has been taking place in Ottery St Mary since the 17th Century. It was originally done to rid the village of evil spirits. Brave men, women and children race through the streets with burning tar barrels on their backs until either the heat gets to much or the barrels break apart with the flames.

The Dawlish Carnival Air Show - 20th of August. Dawlish Carnival is one of Devon's largest carnivals and one of the UK's largest internationally recognised Free Air Shows. It is certainly an event not to be missed, with over 90.000 spectators to the 2008 Air show Procession alone

We have sourced a number of hardwood deckchair frames and found a local Devon based company to produce handmade one off deckchair slips and head pillows. We have a range of patterns from dogs to spots, there are images of some of the designs available on our shop page gallery.

Christiane Baumgartner Exhibition - 1st of Feb to the 21st of Feb. A solo exhibition comprising of a new body of work by German artist Christiane Baumgartner. She is well known for her monochrome woodcuts taken from her own film and video stills of the everyday world in motion all of which are used to convey her themes in an entirely original way.
