Overview

Pebblebed House is a charming and beautiful home located in the heart of the historic old port town of Topsham in Devon. Once a riverside warehouse, converted at the turn of the century into a comfortable and atmospheric residence, this holiday house looks out on the River Exe and is close to the Topsham old town Quay. This unique holiday property sleeps up to 8 people and retains an open feel with wood boards through most rooms and bright ‘seaside' décor. The interior reflects the owner's style and has a wonderful 'beachy' feel and is beautifully decorated with personally collected as well as hand made objects - from driftwood to dream boats.

The first floor consists of a large, wonderfully light, lounge/dining room with views of the estuary. The sofas and chairs provide a cosy feel around the wood burning stove in winter. In summer (and on bright winter days), throw the picture window open and let the feel of river life flood in during your holiday!

One of the sofas folds out to provide an optional double bed. There is a flat-screen TV and music system as well as a large wooden table that provides a beautiful setting for either an informal or elegant dinner. The kitchen is very well equipped, with slate work surfaces and a large Smeg cooker/oven, microwave and fridge freezer. Separate rooms provide a high quality shower, toilet and changing area also on the firstfloor.

There are three double bedrooms on the second floor and a family bathroom. Two of the bedrooms have double beds and stunning views across the river with balcony access. The third bedroom has been fitted with two sets of bunk beds one of which has a truckle forming a double bed.

The wooden balcony is accessed through the main bedroom with lovely views up and down the river Exe. The house does not have private parking. However parking is usually available close by, on Holman Way or in the nearby Topsham Quay carpark, just minutes from the house.

The house has a free WiFi connection to the internet.
