The Big Draw at Killerton House, 1st until the 5th of October. A great chance to get arty at Killerton House, you can chose to draw an object on display or one of the many views from the house. Advise will be on hand to help get you started. Call 01392 881345 or click here for more information.

Exeter Comedy Club, has been showcasing upcoming talent for over ten years. Friday the 3rd of October is the turn of Sally-Anne Howard & Pat Gallagher. You can buy tickets here.

The Big Pick, 5th of October. Come and help harvest the apples from the Killerton's orchard, the apples get used for their award winning cider. This a fun family day out suitable for children.

Stride Devon,  12th of October at Powderham Castle help raise money for breast cancer research and join people in a 10k walk around the beautiful gardens.

A Celebration of Autumn & Apples, 19th of October at Powderham Castle. This will be lots of fruity fun with tastings, trails and childrens activities.

Spooky Tours, 26th of October at Powderham Castle, go on a spooky tour of the castle and meet its previous residents.

Vealand Farm nature reserve, as part of Devon Wildlife Trust DWT is offering expert training in hedgerow restoration. October the 26th 10am-4pm. Call David leach, working wetlands advisor on 01392279244 to book you place.

Fungus Foray & Workshop, 29th of October. Jeff Benn will lead and instruct on fungus identification at Sommers near Barnstaple. Call Joyce on 01271 374324 for more information and to book your place. Organised by Devon Wildlife Trust.

HallowScream, Wednesday 29th, thursday 30th & Friday 31st of November at Crealy Adventure park just outside Exeter, 7pm until 1am. This is UK's first adult only horror night with live horror walk-throughs, scare rides, indoor entertainments, Halloween cocktails and some of the South West best DJ's.  More information on the event can be found here.
