Exeter Comedy Club, has been showcasing upcoming talent for over ten years. Friday the 2nd of October 2009 is the turn of Richard Morton. You can buy tickets here

Crediton Farmers Market - Saturday the 3rd of October 2009, 10am - 1pm. Quality local produce. Voted Best South West Farmers Market 2005. With over 35 stalls this is the largest farmers market in Devon and has been voted the Best Farmers Market in Devon for two years running in the Devon Life Food & Drink Awards. Rockpool Ramble - Saturday the 3rd of October 2009. Guided tour of some of the best rockpools in Devon. No need to book just come along. For more information contact the Centre. Organised by the Devon Wildlife Trust Marine Awareness Officer for Wembury Voluntary Marine Conservation Area. Meet at Wembury Marine Centre. Call 01752 862538  

The Big Pick at Killerton House - Sunday the 4th of October 2009. Come and help harvest the apples from the Killerton's orchard, the apples get used for their award winning cider. This a fun family day out suitable for children.  

The Cribs are playing at Exeter University - 6th Oct 2009, 19:30. The gig will be held at The Lemon Grove, Great Hall, Cornwall House, St Germans Road, Devonshire House, Exeter, Devon, EX4 6TG. This is a link to the Cribs website.

The Big Draw at Killerton House - Saturday the 10th of October 2009. A great chance to get arty at Killerton House, you can chose to draw an object on display or one of the many views from the house. Stride Devon at Powderham Castle - Sunday the 11th of October 2009. Help raise money for breast cancer research and join people in a 10k walk around the beautiful gardens.

Exeter Farmers Market - A wide variety of fresh local West Country foods are available to try and buy at the Exeter's Farmers Market. The market runs every Thursday throughout the year on the junction of South Street and Fore Street. 9am - 2pm. 

Guided Bird Watching Cruises - Stuart Line Cruises - There are a number of cruises from Exmouth Marina. A full timetable of Octobers' cruises is available on there website. The vessel has an open top deck and an enclosed and heated lower deck. Toilets and disabled access is available as well as a refreshments bar selling hot and cold drinks including homemade soup and snacks. Advanced Booking is strongly recommended for these popular cruises. 

Honiton Farmers Market -  Thursday the 15th of October 2009. A wide variety of local produce will be on offer, including: homemade cakes and pies, rare breed pork, ostrich produce, fresh meat, venison, fresh vegetables, cheese, jam and flowers. 

Seaton Farmers Market - Friday the 16th of October 2009. Tea, coffee, homemade cakes and pies, rare breed pork, venison, fresh vegetables, cheese, jam and flowers; all the ingredients necessary for a lovely meal of local Devon produce. Town Hall, Seaton, Devon, Tel: 01404 831310.

Topsham Slow Food Market - Sunday the 18th of October 2009 at Matthew's Hall Topsham. Map. This is a local market of fresh local produce.

Spooky Tours at Powderham Castle - 25th until the 31st of October 2009. Go on a spooky tour of the castle and meet its previous residents.

HallowScream at Crealy - Thursday 29th, Friday 30th &  Saturday 31st of October 2009 at Crealy Adventure park just outside Exeter, 7pm until 1am. Last years was fantastic with live horror walk-through's, scare rides, indoor entertainments, Halloween cocktails and some of the South West best DJ's.  More information on the event can be found here.
