Exeter Farmers Market - A wide variety of fresh local Westcountry foods are available to try and buy at the Exeter's Farmers Market. The market runs every Thursday throughout the year on the junction of South Street and Fore Street. 9am - 2pm.

Face to face with nature arranged by the Devon Wildlife Trust - 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm 5th March. An illustrated talk by David Chaffe, author and naturalist. Venue is Kilmington Village Hall, contact Christina Bows on telephone 01297 23822.

Crediton Farmers Market - 7th of March, 10am - 1pm. Qualitylocal produce. Best South West Farmers Market 2005. With over 35 stallsthis is the largest farmers market in Devon, and has been voted theBest Farmers Market in Devon for two years running in the Devon LifeFood & Drink Awards. Guided Bird Watching Cruises - Stuart Line Cruises - 7th of March from Exmouth Marina. A guided cruise on the River Exe departing at low tide for maximum viewing potential of the thousands of Wintering Birds. A full commentary will be given on the different species including Egrets, Herons and Avocets and also their habitats, breeding and feeding. The vessel has an open top deck and an enclosed and heated lower deck. Toilets and disabled access is available as well as a refreshments bar selling hot and cold drinks including homemade soup and snacks. Advanced Booking is strongly recommended for these popular cruises.

The wild side of Woodah - 10:30 am - 3:00 pm 14th March 2009 - Devon Wildlife Trust. Woodah farm, near Chudleigh. Contact: Sue Sykes or Helen March on Tel: 01392 279244. Fun for the whole family exploring Woodah’s Wildside. We will be doing a combination of bush craft activities, tracking and plaster cast prints, making a campfire and having a wild time! Honiton Farmers Market - 19th of March. A wide variety of local produce will be on offer,including: homemade cakes and pies, rare breed pork, ostrich produce, fresh meat, venison, fresh vegetables, cheese, jam and flowers.

Farmers & Local Produce Market at The National Trust Killerton House & Gardens - 21st of March. There will be lots of fresh, tempting, local produce for sale.

Rockpool Ramble. 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm 28th March. This is a free event as part of the Venus Beach Wildlife Fund project. There is no need to book – just turn up on the day. Organised by DWT’s Marine Awareness Officer for Wembury Voluntary Marine Conservation Area.Meet outside the Venus Café (grid ref SX 651 442).
