Guided Bird Watching Cruises - Stuart Line Crusies - January dates: Sat 10th, Sun 11th, Mon 12th, Fri 23rd, Sat 24th, Sun 25th. Exmouth Marina - A guided cruise on the River Exe departing at low tide for maximum viewing potential of the thousands of Wintering Birds. A full commentary will be given on the different species including Egrets, Herons and Avocets and also their habitats, breeding and feeding. The vessel has an open top deck and an enclosed and heated lower deck. Toilets and disabled access is available as well as a refreshments bar selling hot and cold drinks including homemade soup and snacks.

RSPB Bird watching at Bowling Green Marsh. Jan 19th. Have you ever found it difficult to identify birds? Do you know your dunlin from your ruff? Then come to these free events organised around high tide, when thousands of water birds evade the rising waters to roost and feed in this RSPB wildlife reserve. Staff and volunteers from the Exeter RSPB Local Group will be in the public hide, armed with powerful telescopes, and offering advice on how to identify the many bird species to be seen.
