Visit Santa! in his grotto at Bicton Park Botanical Gardens. December dates are: 6th, 7th, 13th, 14th, 20th, 21st, 22nd & 23rd. Between 11.30am-4.30pm. Christmas Eve between 11.30am-3.30pm.

Christmas at Killerton - See Killerton House decorated for Christmas. Saturday 6 Dec - Tuesday 23 Dec. 2pm - 4pm at Killerton House, Broadclyst, Exeter. Price: adult £3.50, child £1.75 (includes garden admission). National Trust members have free admission - telephone 01392 881345 for more details.

Guided walk and bird watch - Devon Wildlife Trust, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm 6th December 2008. Bowling Green Marsh, Topsham. Contact Christina on Tel: 01297 23822. Come for a guided walk and bird watching at the Bowling Green Marsh RSPB hide and afterwards lunch at a local pub. If you wish to stay for lunch please book by 30 November. Organised by East Devon DWT Local Group. Meet at Holman Way car park in Topsham at 10am.

Opera by Candle Light - 14th of December at Powderham Castle, A evening of candlelit opera and carols set in the splendour of the domed music room. Google Map.

Magical days of Christmas at Crealy - Visit Father Christmas and meet Crealy's real-live Nativity animals, Thursday 18th - Tuesday 23rd December, 10am to 5pm. Price: £10 inclusive (£3.50 for Members)

The Sleeping Beauty - Written and directed by Ben Crocker. 10th of December - 17th January. Matinees at 1.30pm or 2pm, Evening 6pm or 7pm. Exeter Northcott. Price: From £11 - £22 depending on seats and dates. Concessions available. We all know the story - at her christening, a beautiful princess is cursed by the wicked fairy who says that she will die at the age of eighteen when she pricks her finger on a spinning wheel.  Fortunately, death is replaced by a sleep of a 100 years. Exeter Northcott Company conjures up the magical world of pantomime.  Expect stunning sets and costumes, songs, laughs and a fair bit of excited shouting!

Sail With Santa - Adults Only - Stuart Line Crusies, Thursday the 11th of December. A one off special cruise for those of us who are still children at heart. Sail with Santa on a one hour River Exe Cruise and meet the man himself to tell him what you'd like for Christmas and receive a gift to tide you over till December 25th. Also enjoy a glass of Hot Mulled Wine and a warm mince pie whilst listening to the commentary on the river. All fares £7.00. Advanced Bookings Only.

Bell Canto Choir - Bicton Gardens, 14th of December. A choir will be singing Christmas carols from 2 pm song sheets will be provided.

Stuart Line Cruises - bird watch cruise on the river Exe. The December dates are: Thursday the 11th at 11.15 am and Sunday the 28th at 1.15pm.
