Overview

Canterbury Cottage is a beautiful thatched property in a secluded, rural setting on the outskirts of the picture-postcard village of Chardstock. Perfect for those who really want to get away from it all - this property boasts large gardens and extensive countryside views - offering total privacy. This lovely cottage has recently benefited from refurbishment (2010) including a new kitchen and additional luxury shower room. New photographs will be added shortly.

This detached property has a traditional farmhouse kitchen with both an AGA and gas cooker and a sidedoor to the garden. There is a spacious open plan sitting room and dining room featuring beautiful antique furniture and a dramatic large stone fire place to enjoy real fires. The sitting room also has an LCD TV, DVD player and a SKY box. French doors in the dining room lead outside to the fabulous gardens with outdoor seating and dining areas - perfect for BBQs and with plenty of space for children to run around.

Upstairs the master bedroom enjoys lovely countryside views from the king size bed. There is also a pretty twin bedroom, spacious single bedroom and a new family bathroom with shower over the bath. The cottage now has a fantastic luxury shower room on the ground floor.

The holiday cottage has private off-road parking for up to three cars. The driveway has also recently been widened to improve access.

Chardstock is a pretty country village near the Devon/Dorset border, the beach is just 15 mins drive to Lyme Regis, with many others in easy reach. The village has a lovely thatched pub and local shop and provides an ideal base to explore the East Devon countryside and dramatic coastline.
